Hello! My name is Gracie (she/her) and I am a student studying Linguistics at the University of Victoria. I was originally born in Yellowknife but grew up in North Vancouver. Last year I moved to Victoria for school and I am loving it! On this site, I will be submitting and responding to assignments from my EDCI335 course. Since I am minoring in Education, I am excited to learn about teaching strategies and skills designed for an online format. I am hoping to one day become a speech-therapist, so virtual teaching lessons and overall skills to be the best educator possible will be very important! I am looking forward to using this blog to share my thoughts and opinions on readings and prompts related to the course, as well as share some things about myself. For starters, in my spare time I love adventuring around Victoria, hiking, paddle boarding, and playing the guitar! I also volunteer with stroke patients on Friday’s when I’m not in class. Looking forward to having my first ever blog 🙂
